Please critique this proposal... The ONLY way to change what happens in DC is to, on a state level put into State Law - Criteria that the elected officials the State sends to DC must continue to meet or else face immediate recall. Only 18 states have laws that allow recall of what they send to DC... There is no way to correct DC by attempting to address DC directly. | ||
Criteria like these are just starters / suggestions: |
||
Upon failing to meet these requirements the office holder will be: Removed from office, and permanently bar the individual from running for, or holding any public office in that state, to work in any capacity that would effect directly any public office in that state, or its election process. If the person (no longer an elected official, having been removed from office) fails to abide by this law:
As I see it... This would need to be a nationwide agenda to get it on as many (each) states ballot... Because this type of accountability is only going to be effective if it is in place for greater than half of the states in the union. Such a measure in place for a minority of members, runs the risk of placing the state (through its representation) essentially flaccid and easily dismissed. If greater than half are serving under an accountability requirement, these members have a vested interest in leveling the playing field against any members who are NOT held to accountability. Please critique this proposal... Changing what we send to DC is the ONLY way to fix the damage that is being exacted in DC. Currently these state representatives are in no way held accountable and are only left to pander and misdirect a public that is not informed. This article subject to updates. changes and enhancements... I hope. Some comments on this so far: I still say total eliminate congress and thus the Republic and you've solved the problem. Let people introduce bills. Let the states introduce bills. Let the people, not monarchs vote on these bills. Special interests will no longer have control of anything. And that's what we need. Your system lays pretense that there is a fix for congress, which we all know there isn't. Who knows if it will fix anything... But to begin by putting limits in place with penalties that would remove the infringer from office and prevent them from interacting with state politics ever again... It is a start. The ONLY people who can effect what is already in place in DC is congress... ONLY Congress could eliminate congress... Congress would have to vote on such a concept... They wont... So that road is blocked. Same goes for revamping the process that puts in to law any initiative... ONLY congress can make that change... They wont allow power to slip from their grasp. They wont... So that road is blocked. Everything we as citizens want done in DC has to filter through congress... Congress has NO accountability. That's not to say that you are not on the right track or that I disagree... But before any such movement can be considered... The groundwork must be in place. The concepts that you point to are at best secondary or tertiary in the order of implementation. They are not diminished, they are just not possible without other things being in place. Thus, the concept of states enacting 'Accountability' laws that directly effect and control what the state sends to DC MUST be the first steps. Each State is responsible for, and in complete control of what it sends to DC. This concept seems so foreign! Why? The media seems inclined to make sure angst is aimed directly at DC... Because it has no effect, and status quo is easily maintained. The weed must be attacked at its roots There is no other way to regain control other than on an individual state-by-state basis. |

The Label
The label 'Atheist' is one that its antithesis (Theism) depends on being misrepresented in order to help prevent such a simple concept (as 'Atheism) from making any sense in 'Theistic' circles, and so they can formulate some form of attack against atheists that will fit within their narrative. Responses to those mischaracterizations / lies (by atheists,) that work to correct the lie (such as pointing out the fact that they must lie for their reality to work for them), will ultimately have to pull the theist outside of their narrative... Attempting to pull the theist out side of that narrative almost always invokes ad hominem from the theist. Pointing out the ad hominem and the inherent hypocrisy and cruelty the theist has left themselves relying on, usually sends them scurrying... . |
|
The atheist rejects the claim that there is a supernatural entity or force that interacts with existence. Atheism makes no claims whatsoever. Atheism asserts nothing. That rejection is based on a lack of substantiation related to the claim. There is nothing that gives merit to the claim that there is a supernatural entity or force that interacts with existence. |
|
Among other methods, theists NEED to insist that Atheists claim there is no god. In addition to adding confusion to the topic, these are attempts by Theists to put Atheists on the defensive. Another method employed by Theists is them insisting one is Atheist because the atheist "feels angry about religion" This is yet another typical tactic that is attempting to mischaracterize Atheism as an emotional response. Another concept to keep in mind when confronted by those who intend to mischaracterize the concept of 'Atheism': Atheism makes no claims and does not involve any belief whatsoever. It is not an argument per se, so it is not a philosophy... It is the non-acknowledgment / dismissal of a baseless presumption. That dismissal is based on a lack of substantiation related to the claim. There is nothing that gives merit to the claim that there is a supernatural entity or force that interacts with existence. One cannot DO 'Atheist'.. An Atheist is anyone who dismisses the claim made by theists that there is / are 'Supernatural Entity' etc.... 'Atheist' is not an action or a 'method'. It is a passive decision. Just as is deciding to not drink a glass of Habanero juice... (No, thank you) One IS an Atheist as the default setting upon dismissing a claim. One is A-Habanero as the default setting upon dismissing the beverage being offered. There is no belief as a criteria for this concept. That is not the same as anti-theistic methodologies or efforts... Many (but not all) Atheists are anti-theistic. ( see also: http://rich-laduca.blogspot.com/2015/01/7-seven.html ) Rather than (as an atheist) finding yourself being victimized by the agendas that must mischaracterize and spread ignorance as its main defense... I encourage you to (whenever possible) correct such misinformation, by reminding others what Atheism actually means. |

Whipped!
Presuppositional mechanisms tend to whip those who ride them...
Though the beaten are so used to the lashings, that they insist that the welts are proof of their victory.
Insisting that proof is not needed, until such a time comes that there is a need to disprove them...
At which point... They then, in turn, insist on proof that their own claims are without merit.
Theists are an odd lot eh?

How to Field Dress a human carcass
Things You'll Need
Essential tools:
Method 1
Method 2 (the easy way for wooded areas):
Tips:
(Yes - I know it is a sick joke... But I don't like deer meat)
Essential tools:
- A sharp knife It is more important that you are comfortable with your knife and that it is sharp than what type of knife it is. Despite what you see in movies, a shorter knife is usually easier than a huge one!
- Disposable gloves
- A few bags You will want a bag to carry your trash out in, and a large one in case you want to save the liver/heart/kidneys.
- A strong stomach Don't kill anything that you don't plan on taking care of!
- At least 20-30 minutes if you have never done it before. If you are new to dressing a human being, take your time and be safe!
- A friend or peer Having someone help you makes things go faster and easier.
- Water and some paper towels In case you need to clean yourself up afterward.
- Drag rope Helps you in dressing and in dragging the body out!
- A heavy knife, and/or bone saw, or zip saw if you prefer to cut through bones. This is totally optional. Some of the best field dresses I've seen didn't use these.
- A rope, vehicle, and appropriate tree or hanging platform if you prefer to dress the person while they hang.
Method 1
- Make sure the person is dead. If they are not dead, shoot them again; pointing in a safe direction. DO NOT try to approach a wounded victim to cut its throat. They can behave erratically and may be very strong.
- Once the person is confirmed dead, wear gloves during the process to prevent disease.
- Lay the body on its back. Find its sternum. Cut from sternum to crotch, penetrating the hide and the membrane below. Do not, however, pierce the guts.
- Pull the guts out, starting from the crotch, while also cutting the membranes linking the innards to the spine. Take care not to cut too close to the spine or you may cut the tenderloins.
- Keep pulling guts and cut the diaphragm. Don't be shocked if a lot of blood spills. It's expected.
- Find the last membranes holding the guts inside the body, sever them, and pull the guts free.
- Cut through the center of the pelvic bone using a zip saw, bone saw or by pounding your knife through. Cut the skin around the anus and pull the colon out of the body cavity.
- The heart, lungs, liver, and anus can be removed now, but you may find it is convenient to remove them later.
- You can save the liver and heart if you like to eat it. Surprisingly it is very good.
- It is much easier if you put the feet above its head when dragging
Method 2 (the easy way for wooded areas):
- Definitely put on rubber gloves.
- Have a heavy duty rope available in your vehicle.
- Tie the rope to the neck. Throw the other end over a stout tree branch a foot or two above head high.
- Pull the body up off the ground so the legs are barely touching, either by hand or with a 4-wheeler or other vehicle.
- If not mounting the head, cut the throat all the way to the wind pipe so that it falls down into the body cavity.
- Start an incision at the crotch, going all the way up to the beginning the sternum if mounting the head. Otherwise, cut all the way up through the ribs to one side of the sternum.
- If mounting the head, reach up in the body cavity as far as you can and cut the wind pipe from the inside.
- Pull the wind pipe down so that it falls into the body cavity and cut the first membrane. The guts will fall down to the second membrane.
- Cut the second membrane and the guts will fall out on the ground.
- Do as suggested above squeezing feces out of the intestine, cutting it and tying it off. Also, be careful of the bladder.
- If you have a gallon of water, you can now wash a lot of the blood out of the body cavity.
- Let the body back down to the ground and you're through. This is a much easier and cleaner method than trying to clean the body laying on the ground.
Tips:
- Cutting and spreading the rib cage makes it a bit easier to get all the guts out and cut the wind pipe, and also helps the body cavity cool quicker.
- The job's easier if you use a sharp knife with a gut hook.
- Gloves prevent the spread of disease.
- Be aware if your area has people with Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and what to do if you suspect your victim has it.
(Yes - I know it is a sick joke... But I don't like deer meat)
Cognition becomes threatened
Once a theist fully comprehends what 'atheist' means ...
Their own cognition becomes threatened.
Such comprehension insists on understanding a reality that does not rely on supernatural identities and formal administration of such entities attitudes and actions by those who insist they are duly appointed.
Lacking such objectivity leaves the victim to rely on, and worship ignorance and vapid assumptions.

Same as it ever was... Letting the days go by.
While the 'Global flood', 'Noah and the Ark' are assuredly 'post office' style story telling hyperbole...
A flood did occur...
At the time... THAT was their world.
The waters completely flooded over 60,000 square miles of the what was peoples homes and farms in the Northern (outlaying) edge of the 'Fertile Crescent'.
Look at these areas (40.27, 51.58 https://goo.gl/maps/n2FTaiuXhxnsVLWB7)
In Azerbaijan - The Baku peninsula
In Turkministan - The Bekdash, Turkmenbashi, and Cheleken peninsulas.
The watery area between these points (Now part of the Caspian Sea, the largest LAKE in the world) used to be part of a chain of mountains / hills.
Lots of context has to be applied to get to the root of the 'Flood' story.
More importantly, seeing that area where the Caspian broke through (circa) 12,000 - 10,000 years ago adds a huge and comprehensive dimension to how significant and devastating that flood event was.
Either by erosion or seismic activity, that portion of higher ground that held back the Caspian, began to give way about 12,000 - 10,000 years ago, flooding a HUGE area of land to the south that probably killed everyone in the area. At the very least, it laid to waste the livelihood of thousands of people.
This geologic event was devastating. And news of it would have impacted most of the population of the 'Fertile Crescent'... This area is after all, the 'Seat of civilization, where the Agrarian society we live in has its roots.
The story about this 'Flood' has survived by 'post office' re-tellings to both the gullible and the skeptical. In order for this story to have survived this long - It was inevitable for elements to have evolved, and additional details to have been added.
Explaining to someone that there was a HUGE flood would have given the impression that HUGE meant the world, and to these people, it WAS their whole world.
At some point, the 'Noah' character was put into the story... This is easy enough to understand...
As any skeptic would be inclined to disbelieve such a story because there were plenty of animals and people around - That is addressed by explaining that a man built a boat for him, his family and his animals.
Can you see where this is going?
'The Flood' DID happen, the story was hijacked by Judeo-Christian political hacks.
Many of these stories from the Old Testament do have relevance once the supernatural elements are removed and examined for their content.
Here is another example regarding the story of Job:

Hats off to Scientology!!!
A revisit on Scientology (the largest 'anti-theist' organization in the world)...
I paint this picture in order to offer some additional and underlying perspectives. With the goal of mitigating some level of angst that some Atheists or Anti-theists may hold or encounter.
I'm not willing to advocate the methods that Scientology employs… But I do see (in Scientology) what looks to be an intentional attempt to exact the very same scam as every other religion… Though with an ulterior motive…
I am fairly certain that L. Ron Hubbard had a very thick vendetta against organized religion (as did many of his contemporaries), and that this was the basis for introducing Scientology…
I tend to suspect that Scientology's ultimate goal is to (employing the most brutal methods they can) make a mockery of religion. The end result being that it causes a magnification of the problems religion has created.
Hubbards last laugh will come when ALL religions are put in a position where their abuses can no longer happen.
Either religions will be taxed in to non-existence or outright forced from existence once their machinations are unavoidably splayed open - Here is where the work of Scientology begins.
Scientology will be able to fly ITS flags just as long as other 'religions' do.
That Scientology employs the same moral platitudes to achieve this as what other religions use to maintain their identity is not a coincidence… Considering the paradigm, Scientology is irony at its finest and most honest.
Hubbard is saying:
Their end game is to do everything possible to show the world what an ugly, hateful, and violent farce religion is... By becoming an unadulterated mockery of religion under the same channels and guise of legitimacy that all religions depend on.
This approach will hopefully / eventually de-legitimize all religions by way of proving that they all have the same inherent contempt for humanity. This demise will hopefully extend to any and all philosophies that have been hijacked, codified, edified, and perverted into a pre-packaged and administered product. A.K.A religion.
I hope Scientology dies the same death as all of the other contemptuous shams that purport themselves as religions! And I further hope (for the sake of all of us and our children) that the implosion happens soon!
So, in that regard… Hats off to Scientology. May your death be celebrated!
(The sentiment here has appeared as comments made by me in other / previous Google Plus threads)
