The difference...

The only difference between the Democrats and the Republicans is that the Democrats allow the poor to be corrupt, too.

XBOX controls

So my son has finished  his Navy school and is heading onto a ship in a few days.

While he was in training he used his new found wealth the purchase many things that he cant take on a boat, including his XBOX 360.

He is leaving that with me, and I have it set to stream movies from my Windows 7 machine.
While watching a movie, I discovered that I had no idea how to pause or fast forward and what-have-you...

After a little searching I found the info I needed - So I am putting out here for all...

LB  - Skip back one chapter.
RB -  Skip forward one chapter.
RT -  Fast-forward, or page up through a list of items.
LT -  Rewind, or page down through a list of items.
START  - Toggle between play and pause.
When browsing videos, automatically begin playback using the bookmark (if it exists) and bypassing the resume/restart page.
X, Y - Open on-screen display for more advanced playback controls.

Windows 7 IPv6 workaround...

This command is useful to prevent Windows from generating a temporary that temporary IPv6 address. Even when you have a static IP, Windows 7 insists on generating a temporary IPv6 address.

From the (run as admin) command line:

netsh interface ipv6 set interface "Local Area Connection" routerdiscover=disabled

Once completed, the command returns this:
Ok.

The Argument from Ignorance

Ran across this in an article:
(link and article below the quote)

This problem is called the argument from ignorance (“it must be true because it has not been proven false”) or sometimes the argument from personal incredulity (“because I cannot imagine a natural explanation, there cannot be one”). Such fallacious reasoning comes up so often in my encounters with believers that I conclude it must be a product of a brain unsatisfied with doubt; as nature abhors a vacuum, so, too, does the brain abhor no explanation. It therefore fills in one, no matter how unlikely.

MS Paint tricks.

I ran across something I found interesting... If only because I often find myself using MS paint.

Here are some handy shortcuts / hidden features in MS paint (the image is not mine, the source is ANONYMOUS):
